L’Escala is the destination par excellence for buying high-quality anchovies. You will find several factories and shops specialising in artisan preserves, one of the Costa Brava’s most emblematic gastronomic products.

The Pals area is famous for its rice, traditionally grown in the rice fields of Baix Empordà. It is an excellent choice for taking home an authentic gastronomic souvenir.

Handcrafted Ceramics

La Bisbal is known as the capital of Catalan ceramics, with a multitude of workshops, shops and studios. In some cases, it is possible to see the manufacturing process or visit small workshops where traditional ceramics are made.

Books for the whole family

Calonge, known as the village of books, currently has six bookshops and organises cultural activities throughout the year.The village is linked to the Empordà Designation of Origin, so you will find shops selling gourmet products and wines from the area.

Charming boutiques

Begur is a village with small fashion and craft boutiques, ideal if you like Mediterranean style and unique garments.

Cadaqués is a very picturesque village where shopping combines with local art and design. You will find fashion with character, special objects and artistic souvenirs.

Old quarter of Girona

The city of Girona, capital of the province, is 40 kilometres from the Sa Gavina Apartments. Girona has several shopping areas, notably the one in the Jewish Quarter, the old centre of the city, full of small shops, boutiques and grocery stores.

Palamós and Platja d’Aro

Located 30 and 40 km respectively from Sa Gavina Apartments:

  • Palamós offers local shops and the chance to buy fresh fish directly from the fish market.
  • Platja d’Aro stands out for its large shopping area, with independent shops and major clothing brands, as well as services and leisure activities.

La Santa Market

This is a seasonal night market located on the Costa Brava (Santa Cristina d’Aro), which is held in summer. It is not a traditional market, but rather a complete experience that brings together craft shops and independent brands, street food, music and family activities.

Figueres

Figueres, located 48 km from Sa Gavina Apartments, is ideal for a cultural and shopping getaway. Take advantage of your visit to the Dalí Museum and stroll along its lively pedestrian Rambla, the city’s main shopping street.

Espai Gironès (Salt – Girona)

This shopping center, located about 40 km from l’Estartit, has shops selling leading fashion brands, accessories, footwear, restaurants, bars and cinemas, ideal for a full day of shopping.
