cala-pedrosa

Cala Pedrosa, in L’Estartit, is a must-visit spot for your holidays on the Costa Brava, as it is one of the most beautiful and well-known coves in the area.

It rarely gets crowded due to its slightly challenging access, making it a perfect place to visit at any time thanks to its low influx of visitors.

This hidden cove is sheltered from the waves by Pedrosa Island, measuring barely 15 metres wide and surrounded by rocks and pine trees. To reach it, you need to take a short hike leading to this rocky beach with crystal-clear waters, located in L’Estartit.

How to get to Cala Pedrosa in L’Estartit?

To reach Cala Pedrosa in L’Estartit, you’ll need to head towards L’Escala along the GR92 trail. Then, follow the path that leads down to the cove.

The cove is located about 2.8 kilometres from the harbour, which is roughly a one-hour walk at a normal pace. The trail includes small rocks and some inclines, so wearing proper footwear is recommended to avoid injuries.

We suggest setting off early in the morning to avoid the summer heat —for example, around 8 a.m. so you can make the most of the day. It’s best to return as the sun begins to set, allowing you to enjoy the sunset while avoiding the hottest hours.
