Jewish quarter in Girona

The Jewish Quarter (The Call) of Girona is recognized as the best preserved in Europe.

The Call is located thirty minutes drive from the Sa Gavina apartments.

Located in the old town of Girona, a family visit is highly recommended if you want to remember its existence from the ninth century. There is documentation that confirms the existence of three successive synagogues in Girona, the oldest from the ninth century and probably in the fourteenth century there were two synagogues which were running simultaneously.

A visit to Force Street is very recommendable, walking down the street, to the square of the Old Mail, and a visit to the Centre Cúndaro Bonastruc ça Porta, Gironella Tower and the House of Leon Avinay.
