Playa Grande Estartit
With a length of 3.5 kilometres and a width of 100 metres, Playa Grande de Estartit is one of the most emblematic beaches in the area. Its proximity to the town centre makes it the perfect place to enjoy the sun, the sea and all the services offered by the municipality.
This beach is divided into three areas:
Central Beach
Awarded the European Union’s Blue Flag for the quality of its services, this 1 km long beach is located in front of the Estartit promenade, in the centre of Estartit.
Thanks to its location, this beach offers privileged views of the Medes Islands.
Griells Beach
A 500-metre-long beach with fine sand located in front of a residential area. It is an ideal place for water sports. The tranquillity of this beach makes it ideal for enjoying with the whole family.
Pletera Beach
This is a quiet, uncrowded beach stretching for 1.8 kilometres. Far from the crowds, it offers visitors a peaceful setting. Efforts are currently underway to restore the original landscape, with work being done on a dune recovery plan to reverse the effects of urban growth.
It can be reached either by car or on foot via the Estartit promenade.
Sunrise facing the Medes Islands
Thanks to its location, right in front of the Medes Islands, you can enjoy one of the most beautiful sunrises on the Costa Brava. From Central Beach, you can see the sun rise over the islands every day in August at around 6:45 am. A perfect experience for lovers of photography and nature.
Walk along the Passeig del Molinet to Cap de la Barra
If you want to enjoy excellent views of the Estartit landscape, we recommend walking along the recently rebuilt Passeig Molinet to the Cap de la Barra cliff.
The route starts at the marina and ends at a viewpoint where you can enjoy privileged views of the Medes Islands.
