New edition of the “Fira de Pirates i Corsaris de les Illes Medes” – September 2019

The 15th edition of the “Fira de Pirates i Corsaris de les Illes Medes” will be held from 20 to 22 September from 10 am to 8 pm.

Since the 16th century, the “Illes Medes” have been a refuge for pirates and corsairs, as they prepared attacks on the mainland from there. To make memory of those times, the “estartidencs” and visitors will be able to enjoy a celebration full of spectacles and activities for children and adults. The fair will be held on the third weekend of September and the streets of the centre will be filled with stalls with traditional and handcrafted products. There will be animations aimed at the little ones, parades through the streets of the municipality, performances by pirates, disembarkation of corsairs, children’s workshops, guided visits to exhibitions, among other activities.
