Maria Arnal and Marcel Bagés in concert!

On 28 May, this musical duo will be in concert. Although they debuted in 2017 with their album ’45 cerebros y un corazón’, they are now coming to steal our heart with ‘Clamor’, winner of the VII Premio Ruido 2021 for the Best National Record of the Year.

This Catalan pop and neo R&B duo mix music and poetry, ancestral melodies and new sonorities, experimentation and tradition, and they pour all that potential into ‘Clamor’, the new album recorded between Athens and Barcelona.

The emotional intensity of their message is about the human capacity for transformation, in response to the challenges presented by the future of a planet in crisis, through mutant electronic pop.

The album was produced by David Soler, and features international collaborators such as Kronos Quartet, Morphosis Ensemble and Holly Herndon.

Some of the wonders that can be heard on stage are ‘Fiera de mí’, the single, ‘Milagro’, ‘Meteorit ferit’, ‘Cant de la Síbil-la’ and ‘Jaque’, among many others from the new album.

The concert will take place as part of the Ítaca Festival, which on its tenth anniversary has opted, as it has been doing for the last few years, for the best music scene.
