“Festa de Sant Antoni Abat” – January 2020

On Sunday 19th January at 12:30h the “Festa de Sant Antoni Abat” will take place in the port of l’Estartit. Sant Antoni is the patron saint of the animals that live with persons and also of farmers and muleteers. It is the most celebrated festival in all the Catalan-speaking territories. It is the festival par excellence of winter, the prelude to carnival, and forms part of the cultural and ethnological heritage.

“Festa de Sant Antoni Abat” programme:

-12:30h Pet meeting.

-13:00h Parade through the streets of l’Estartit.

-13:15h Blessing of pets and companions.
