The day to day life of an artisanal fisherman from l’Estartit – Januari 2021

Being a small-scale fisherman in l’Estartit means getting up early every morning, when the fisherman leaves the port with his boat, he goes to the buoy that identifies his fishing spot, where he collects the net from the previous day and places the fish in boxes with water and ice to keep them in good condition. Once the fisherman has collected all the “tremall” nets, he heads for the port to moor his boat and sort the fish into boxes before being sent to the Palamós fish market. In the afternoon, the fisherman has to set off again to set the net for the following day.
